About Me....

I am a Psychological Therapist and Occupational Therapist with over 15 years experience working in mental health. I am qualified in a number of therapeutic modalities including Cognitive Analytic Therapy (CAT), Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR), Sensorimotor Psychotherapy and Trauma-Informed Stabilization Treatment (TIST).

My experience has been gained from working in a number of different settings within the NHS including a Specialist Psychotherapy Service (Complex Trauma Team), acute inpatient and community mental health settings, bereavement and homelessness charities.  I was also part of the education and training team at the Nightingale Hospital during the pandemic, responsible for delivering psychological training and support to staff.  More recently, I have directed my own private therapy practice.

Over the years, I have increasingly specialised in working with individuals who have experienced trauma and loss in their lives.  This therapeutic work, in addition to my own life experiences, has served as an important impetus to apply for a Churchill Fellowship.

The focus of my Fellowship is on care-experienced peoples' experiences of separations, transitions and endings and how psychological support around this can be improved. I am immensely grateful to the Churchill Fellowship for allowing me this opportunity to affect change.
